Catholic family life now is so fast-paced – and unfortunately so detached from the liturgical life.
Life here in the United States is usually so different than it would have been in a Catholic town or village in say Europe or Spanish-speaking countries.
A Catholic parish could always be found in the center of the town – here in Texas it’s usually the courthouse.
Our chapel is almost an hour away and so it can be hard for our family to attend church on particular feast days. And because we attend an SSPX mission chapel, our priests are sometimes not even here for non-obligatory popular feast days.
As such, I’ve realized we have to be very intentional about living the liturgical seasons here at home.
Using books like the Year & Our Children by Mary Reed Newland and others have greatly helped, but I found some things missing in our devotional life.
What I really wanted was a focal point for our family to learn important prayers, hymns, virtues, Bible verses, and study our catechism all framed within the liturgical life of the church.
Enter Catholic liturgical boards!
I got the idea to make these printable liturgical boards a few years ago to supplement our family’s prayer life – apparently my idea wasn’t exactly original! I found other moms doing similar things but nothing that covered all the areas I had wanted.
So I started making these available through Etsy and so many other families have found a great benefit.
There are 12 liturgical boards in all – you can find the yearly discounted bundle here – one for each month of the year. Each month features a different traditional Catholic dedication to a particular devotion – October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary.
Within each one page printable you will find our family’s Baltimore catechism reading plan, major feast days, a Bible verse, an ejaculatory prayer, another common prayer of the faithful, 3 hymn suggestions in Latin, English and Spanish, a Gregorian chant Mass from the Kyriale, and an original virtue poem based off the Baltimore Catechism and the Summa Theologiae by St. Thomas Aquinas.
Want some free sheet music, too??
I had many conversations with friends that wished they knew more hymns that they could teach to their little ones.
So naturally, to go with these liturgical boards, I’ve compiled a free sheet music printable for you from our family’s own collection of hymnals. You can download it below!
It is my hope that these liturgical boards can serve as a useful tool to bring our families back into the rhythm of the liturgical life of the Church. May God Bless you and Mary keep you!

I’ll definitely be using the October sheet music in our singing practice! I really appreciate how you include a variety of hymns, and Mass III, this helps with my goal of having everyone learn to sing the Kyriale.
