Why a “Traditional Catholic Gift Guide” when there’s already Catholic gift guides out there?

Since becoming a traditional Catholic, I have found it quite hard to find shops that share my traditional values. I know I’m not the only one!

While I have no problem supporting other shops that don’t specify that they are traditional Catholic, I feel strongly about trying to support other like-minded traditional Catholics…times are hard, we do what we can and we all need to support each other.

So I looked around, but just couldn’t find a central place that recommended traditional Catholic small businesses.

Enter this post – the 2024 Traditional Catholic Small Shop Gift Guide™!

Most places you’ll see a “Catholic Small Business Gift Guide” or “Catholic Small Shop Gift Guide” but I wanted to be sure that the guide I posted contained people I know a) consider themselves “traditional Catholics”, b) attend the traditional Latin Mass, and/or c) sell traditional Catholic items.

All the shops below meet at least one of those three criteria 🙂 consider this a friendly guide if you’re new to the online world of traditional Catholic small businesses!

So the guide officially starts below! Here is a roundup of a few of my favorite shops that I recommend:

ABBEY ROAST COFFEE

Amazing coffee brewed by traditional Benedictine monks, who wouldn’t want coffee touched by the hands of consecrated religious? This is the only coffee company we regularly support! You can visit their website here.

BOOKS

ANGELUS PRESS PUBLISHING

Not a “small business” (in my mind at least) but I had to include as I’ve benefited so much from them. The official English-speaking publishing arm of the FSSPX, I have found so many treasures over the years through their website. Their Traditional Roman Hymnal is the main one I use to teach my children hymns in English and Latin, they’ve got tons of other music resources as well! Check out their website here.

ST. AUGUSTINE ACADEMY PRESS SHOP

One of my favorite traditional Catholic publishing websites, they have beautifully bound traditional titles not found in other places. Check out their website here.

REFUGE OF SINNERS PUBLISHING, INC.

Another traditional Catholic publisher that has out of print titles that are true gems. Please consider supporting them here.

GIFT SHOPS

NO HEART UNTOUCHED GIFT SHOP

I first heard of Alicia through her Instagram account @noheartuntouched and couldn’t help relating to her wonderful and often humorous traditional Catholic content. Her shop truly has it all – digital prints, rosaries, jewelry, clothing, prayer cards, stickers, home decor, homeschooling resources and so much more. I bought her incredible printable Catholic Tracing Workbook (she also offers a printed version!) for my children to practice their cursive and I couldn’t be more pleased with her work. Check out her shop here!

DOMUS AUREA DESIGNS ETSY SHOP

Actually my daughters’ godsister and close friend of mine, Anastasia’s gifts are one of a kind. She made these incredible rosaries for my husband and I as a wedding gift and we still have them to this day, years later 🙂 she also makes gorgeous medieval-inspired holy cards, many including the artwork of the famous Fra Angelico. Check out these and the rest of her gifts at her shop here.

DUMB OX PUBLICATIONS

Owned by a homeschooling family of 10, this is one of my favorite shops for purchasing spiritual/devotional items for our family. Their Catholic Child’s Advent Calendar is stunningly beautiful and yet so simple. It features pop-open flaps that contain a prayer/intention to create your own “DIY” spiritual Christmas crib. Genius! They have other calendars that cover the entire liturgical year, and even beautiful crafting kits. Check out their shop here.

STELLA MARIS DESIGNS JEWELRY

A wonderful traditional Catholic friend of mine who I happened to reconnect with through Instagram, @stellamarisdesigns makes gorgeous nautical-themed (“Star of the Sea”, get it?) rosaries, jewelry, stationary and other accessories. I love her Advent collection too! I’m officially a fan. You can see it all on her website here.

A CATHOLIC CONVERT ETSY SHOP

Another wonderful Etsy shop run by a lady on Instagram @avemarisstella.co that makes her own gorgeous liturgical aprons, keychains and other accessories, see these beautiful items in her shop here.

MEADOWS OF GRACE ETSY SHOP

One of my favorite shops run by Leanne Vanderputten, the voice behind the Finer Femininity Podcast. I love her Advent journals which are whimsical and beautiful, and I also purchased her Catholic Mother Goose book which my children loved to smitherines…I need to order another one 🙂 her daughters also make incredible hair accessories and rosaries. See her shop here.

This gives me all the crunchy mama feels as her shop features organic beeswax candles in gorgeous little tins, as well as essential oils inspired by St. Hildegard of Bingen and other saints. Check out her Etsy shop here.

SAINTLY SOAPS ETSY SHOP

A Canadian shop with an amazingly original idea of handmade goat milk soaps inspired by the saints, as well as beeswax candles and herbal tea mixtures also known as “Sancti-Tea”, love it 🙂 Check out her shop here.

PLANNERS

MORNING STAR TRADITIONAL CATHOLIC PLANNER

I love the fonts and design of the Morning Star Traditional Catholic Planner, which was created by two traditional Catholic sisters. I like that it’s specifically tailored to the 1962 missal and not mixed with the new calendar. They also sell other beautiful items and accessories on their shop which you can find here.

PRINTABLES/DIGITAL DOWNLOADS

JOYFILLED FAMILY

Lena’s blog and Instagram feed are full of incredible traditions we as Catholics have lost, I’ve learned so much from her just through following her.
